Alex Habig has joined the St. Lawrence University Alpine skiing staff, as a full-time assistant coach in January of 2025.
Habig joins the Saints having recently been the Administrative Fellow for Athletic Operations and Management and the Assistant to the Dean of Athletics Mark Godomsky at Gould Academy in Bethel, Maine, where he oversaw the logistics and daily operations of all sports. He also was head FIS ski cross coach and coaching on the Nor Am circuit. Habig also coached athletes at Junior World Championships in Idre Fjäl, Sweden representing team USA.
He started his ski journey at Quantum Sports International, as a coaching apprentice for an international ski team based out of Breckenridge, Colorado learning from John Lefler and Peter Anderson. Habig was once a former athlete for the Quantum men's team.
Habig holds a master's degree in business administration from Lasell University and completed his undergraduate degree in Sports Management from Colby Sawyer College.
At Colby Sawyer, Habig was a member of the Chargers' Alpine ski team competing in the EISA.
