About Ronald C. Hoffmann '54
Ronald C. “Doc” Hoffmann, a three-time Associated Press Little All-America for the St. Lawrence football program in the 1950s and a member of the St. Lawrence Athletic Hall of Fame, coached the St. Lawrence men’s cross country team in the early 1970s when the program was in its infancy as an intercollegiate sport. Through 13-plus years, “Doc” not only resurrected a struggling program, but helped it become one of the most successful in the state. He coached the team to its first league championship and to its first team berth in the NCAA Championship.
