Game Notes

The St. Lawrence University women’s hockey team’s slate of Thursday-Friday match ups has come to an end for the season, as they split a two-game series with UNH last week.
Kennedy Emerson scored the Saints lone goal in the 3-1 loss to the Wildcats on Thursday, but SLU rebounded in dramatic fashion with a 3-2 overtime win in the school day game on Friday morning.
First-year Kendall Doiron scored twice, including a beauty in overtime to give the Saints the win, with her first career multi-goal game. Riley Reeves also scored her first goal in Scarlet and Brown in the win. First-year goaltender Maja Helge picked up her second win of the season on Friday as well, recording 13 saves.
Kassidy Lawrence and Helge have split time in goal so far this season. Lawrence enters the weekend with a 3.83 goals against average and a .886 save percentage, while Helge holds a 2.52 goals against and a .911 save percentage. Cheyenne Degeer leads the Scarlet and Brown in points with two goals and four assists for six points, while Doiron leads the team with three goals.
First-year Nellie Svensson leads the team with 18 blocked shots. Mae Severn, Lilien Benakova and Alex Therien are all tied for second with 13.
The Saints are scheduled to play their third of three school day games this season next weekend, as they open ECAC play with an 11 a.m. start at Dartmouth on October 30.
