REGISTRATION: Registration is now open!Ā This summer's day camp will be offered to both boys and girls, ages 7-18.
A non-refundable deposit of $50 or full payment must be mailed in or sent via Venmo after filling out your online registration form.Ā Directions to complete your registration will be emailed to you. This summer's camp will offer a morning session for boys and girls entering grades 2-6Ā by the Fall of 2025Ā and an afternoon session for those entering grades 7-12 by the Fall of 2025. Total cost for summer day camp is $145.

THE STAFFĀ
CAMP DIRECTOR -Ā MIKE MAHONEY
Coach Mike Mahoney enters his 28th season as the Head Menās Lacrosse Coach at St. Lawrence University with an overall record of 294-123. With his 294 wins, Coach Mahoney currently ranks 10th in Division III and 14th across all divisions for all-time victories amongst active coaches. In 2022, Mahoney became the all-time winningest coach in St. Lawrence Menās Lacrosse history, having surpassed former head coach and Hall of Famer Don Leet, with 253 wins. He recorded his 250th career win against Ithaca on April 24th, 2022.
Coach Mahoneyās accolades include being named The F. Morris Touchstone Division III National Coach of the Year in 2016. He was also named the ECAC Metro/Upstate N.Y. Coach of the Year in 2016 and has been named Liberty League Coach of the Year seven times (1999, 2004, 2009, 2012, 2015 & 2016 & 2024). He was St. Lawrence Universityās Bernie McKinnon Coach of the Year in 2003, 2008 & 2015. A native of the North Country, Coach Mahoney earned his masterās degree from the University of Albany and a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Lawrence University, where he was a two-sport captain in lacrosse and football.
Under Mahoneyās leadership, the St. Lawrence University menās lacrosse program has qualified consistently for post-season play, at the conference, regional and national level. In 2001 and 2002, the Saints were ECAC Upstate Tournament Champions. The 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 teams advanced to the NCAA tournament after winning four-straight Liberty League Conference Championships. The 2016 team advanced to the NCAA Tournament semi-finals. Most recently, the 2017, 2022 and 2024 teams earned their spot in the NCAA Tournament, after Top-10 finishes in the USILA National Poll including the 2024 team, which finished ranked fifth nationally last spring.
"We continue to have an overwhelming response to both the boys and girls side of the camp. We encourage you to take full advantage of what the St. Lawrence campus and community have to offer young lacrosse players during our day camp," said Mahoney.
COACH - TOM RYAN
Tom Ryan, a former professional lacrosse player and All-America, was hired as an assistant menās lacrosse coach at St. Lawrence University in the summer of 2013.Ā Ryan had a nine-year professional career, playing for the 2001 world champions Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League and the New Jersey Pride of Major League Lacrosse.Ā Prior to turning pro, he was an All-America attackman at Bowdoin College where he remains the schoolās all-time leading scorer with 315 points.
A native of Canton, New York, Ryan earned his Bachelorās Degree from Bowdoin in psychology in 1993.Ā He followed by earning his Masterās Degree at Connecticut College.Ā Ryanās coaching career also includes four head coaching stops, including at Mount Ida College in 1997 and professionally with the Boston Blazers of the NLL.Ā He was also the head coach of Team USAās Indoor squad from 2006-2011.Ā Most recently, he was with Belmont Abbey College, a Division II school in Charlotte, North Carolina. He amassed 202 points in 95 career professional games and was on Team USAās Heritage Cup winning team in 2002.Ā He is a member of both the Canton High School and Bowdoin College Hall of Fame.
