Littlejohn Training Room

The St. Lawrence University Sports Medicine Department provides a holistic approach to student-athlete welfare. Our main base of operations is the Littlejohn Athletic Training Room.
The staff of six full-time Certified Athletic Trainers focuses on five key pillars:

For student-athletes to book time with a full-time St. Lawrence University athletic trainer, please use THIS LINK and follow the enclosed instructions.



Pre-Participation Medical Forms

First-Year & Transfer Athletes
  1. Initial Login: User ID: new, Password: new, Database: stlawu
  2. Profile Setup: Update your User ID to your SLU ID# and create a personal password.
  3. Required Forms: Complete all profile tabs and the following forms under the "Forms" dropdown:
    • Pre-Participation Form
    • Concussion Policy & Baseline Evaluation
    • Insurance Acknowledgment & Assumption of Risk
    • Sickle Cell Trait Testing Form
  4. Health Center: You must also complete the General University Health Forms.
Returning Student-Athletes
You will receive a login email by June 1st. Update your profile and complete:
  • Returning Athlete Pre-Participation Form
  • Concussion Policy & Baseline Evaluation
  • Insurance Acknowledgment
Insurance Requirements
  • Primary Coverage: The NCAA requires all athletes to provide proof of insurance with a minimum of $90,000 coverage for athletic-related injuries.
  • University Recommendation: We highly recommend the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) to ensure local provider acceptance and comprehensive athletic coverage.
  • Secondary Policy: SLU provides a secondary "excess" policy for medical bills resulting from injuries sustained during official practices or games.
  • Catastrophic Coverage: The NCAA provides a policy with up to $20 million in lifetime benefits for qualifying catastrophic injuries.
