St. Lawrence University Athletics

The Burkman Gymnasium, home to the volleyball team and the men’s and women’s basketball teams, first opened in 1970.  The facility, which features a parquet floor and bleacher seats on both sides of the court, has hosted numerous conference tournaments, as well first rounds of the men's and women's NCAA basketball tournaments.  Located inside Augsbury Center, the Gymnasium was named for Ronald T. Burkman ‘28, a baseball and basketball standout at St. Lawrence who continued on as a coach and administrator at his alma mater.
