Prior to St. Lawrence

Grochot was a four-year starter and three-year captain at Saint James. He earned All-County honors all four years and graduated as the all-time county leader in career passing yards and touchdowns. He also holds program records for passing years and touchdowns in a season. Grochot was an honor roll student at Saint James, spent time volunteering at Saint James School in Philadelphia and was named the Stittsville Youth Citizen of the Year.
