Biography
2014-15: Shortz was 6-2 in singles competition as a senior, including a 3-0 mark in dual matches playing at No. 6. Additionally, he went 6-1 in doubles tournament matches during the fall season.
2013-14: Shortz was a perfect 2-0 in his singles matches on the year, with a win in both the fourth and fifth positions.
2011-12: Shortz competed at No. 2 and No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles throughout the season. An economics and communications major at St. Lawrence, he is a member of the Investment club and was nominated for the Outstanding First-Year Student award.
At Valley Regional: Shortz was a two-sport athlete, participating in tennis and soccer. A captain for two years, he was a four-time team MVP and was named to the All-Conference first team three years in a row. Academically, the Chester, CT native is a US Senate Page and was a member of the high honor roll.
