2013: Vangel started the season along the defensive line, but transitioned to center due to injuries midway through the year. He did a great job filling in, as the offensive line allowed only three sacks all season, fewest in the Liberty League. Vangel also earned a spot on the Liberty League's All-Academic team for the second straight year.

2012: Vangel saw time in three games along the defensive line, playing against Alfred, Union and Rochester. A member of the Liberty League's All-Academic Team, he is expected to compete for a starting job next fall.

2011: Vangel played against Norwich in his first season at St. Lawrence. The Hingham, MA native made one tackle for a loss in the win over the Cadets.

At Hingham
Vangel was a tri-sport student-athlete, participating in football, skiing and baseball. The Hingham, MA native earned All-Star status from the Patriot League for his play on the gridion.
