2014: Heron made the switch to the offense for his junior year but did not see action as a running back for the Saints.

2013: Heron remained a durable defensive player for St. Lawrence as a sophomore, playing in all 10 games on both defense and special teams. He made 10 tackles including a season-high four against Merchant Marine. Heron also forced a key fumble to help St. Lawrence knock off Union on the road.

2012: Heron appeared in all ten games in his rookie season, starting in the first eight and totaling 33 tackles and 5.5 sacks. He is expected to compete for playing time at linebacker in his sophomore campaign.

At William Floyd High School
Heron participated on the football and indoor and outdoor track and field teams. The Mastic, NY native was an All-State selection for his play at linebacker.
