Prior to St. Lawrence
Peterson participated in Nordic skiing, swimming, cross country and track at Stillwater Area High School. She was captain of the Nordic team, was a five-time letter winner, a three-time state participant, made the Minnesota State Championship Team and earned Academic All-State honors. Peterson was a three-time letter winner in swimming and also earned a letter in cross country. She was an honor roll student, a member of the National Honor Society, a four-time academic letter winner and an AP scholar with Honors and Distinction.
