First-year Charles Novak shot four-under par on the weekend to claim his first collegiate invitational and led the St. Lawrence University men's golf team to a first-place finish at the St. Lawrence Fall Invitational at the par-72 Oliver D. Appleton Golf Course in Canton, N.Y.

Novak finished Saturday's round with six birdies, shooting five-under par with a 67, which set him up with a good lead heading into Sunday. He finished the second round at one over to take him the individual title with a 140 on the weekend.

Joey Degnan moved up three spots and into second place, shooting three under on Sunday to finish the weekend with a 141. Kevin Dillon tied for third place with a 144, putting three 'A' team Saints in the top five.

St. Lawrence's 'A' squad took home the team title with a 575 (283, 292), while Clarkson placed second with a 583 and Hobart finished third with a 592.
