Angelica Aksdal-Jansen recorded both a singles win, and a top-flight doubles win alongside partner
Molly Jespersen, as the St. Lawrence University women's tennis team defeated the University of Rochester 7-0 on Sunday to sweep their weekend.
St. Lawrence now has a 4-0 record on the season.
The Saints took  the doubles point by sweeping all three matches. Beyond the top flight,
Elisa Iuri and
Ariane Karera earned a 6-4 win at No. 2, while
Yvette Karera and
Eleanor McDermed took the No. 3 spot with a 6-3 result.
Aksdal-Jansen went undefeated on the day, opening with a 6-2 victory at No. 1 doubles alongside
Molly Jespersen. She followed that performance with a 6-3, 6-0 win at the top singles flight against Lilly Caldwell.
In singles play, Jespersen earned a 6-4, 6-0 victory at the No. 2 position. Iuri won a closely contested match at No. 3, defeating Hailey Kornbluth 7-6 (7-5), 7-5. At No. 4,
Yvette Karera rallied after dropping the first set to win 3-6, 6-3, 6-1.
St. Lawrence completed the sweep with straight-set wins at the bottom of the lineup. McDermed took the No. 5 flight 7-5, 6-1, and
Ariane Karera finished the day with a 7-5, 6-1 victory at No. 6.
St. Lawrence now readies to defend their unblemished record against RIT on Saturday.
