Jan Olenginski of the St. Lawrence University men's hockey team has been nominated for the ECAC Hockey Scholar-Athlete of the Year award, as announced by the conference office on Thursday morning.
The ECAC's Men's Scholar-Athlete of the Year award is presented annually to an ECAC Hockey male athlete who most embodies the qualities of excellence and leadership on the ice, in the classroom, and throughout their community.
Olenginski is a two-time member of the ECAC's All-Academic team, earning the distinction every year of his collegiate career to this point, and will be a member for the third time this season.
The Lafayette Hill, Pa. native has been a steady member of the Saints' blueline this season, playing in 27 games. In 27 games, Olenginski has a goal and three assists for four points.
