The St. Lawrence defensive unit locked down in the final seven minutes, preventing the Cardinals from getting any shots off.
Davenport made a pair of clutch saves in the win, including a diving stop with the glove in the 80th minute. Plattsburgh's Desiree DuBois faced two shots in the effort and saw both hit twine.
Plattsburgh held the narrow advantage in shots (8-6) and shots on goal (3-2), but the Saints dominated the ball to the tune of an 8-4 corner kick edge.
The Scarlet and Brown will head home and begin preparing for their Liberty League opener against Skidmore this Saturday, September 27. The conference tilt will begin at 2:30 p.m. at Sandy MacAllaster Field.
