The No. 12 St. Lawrence University men's lacrosse team made a strong three-quarter rally, but ultimately fell to No. 1 Tufts University in the third round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament on Sunday afternoon at Bello Field in Medford, Mass.

Bobby Wells all scored two goals for Saints, while
Daniel Mahoney tallied a goal and two assists and
David Herlihy also added one for SLU.
Padraic Condon finished with 11 faceoff wins and picked up five ground balls, while
Michael Miele also picked up five and caused one turnover.
Tufts controlled the first quarter, shutting out the Saints 5-0.
St. Lawrence kicked off their rally in the second, outscoring the Jumbos 3-1. Rosenzweig scored a pair of goals and Wells scored the third for the Saints to bring the Saints back within three.
Tufts held a 6-3 lead at the break.
Both teams scored three in the third frame, with goals from Herlihy, Mahoney and an end-to-end tally for Anderson. Tufts' three goals allowed them to hold onto their three-goal lead heading into the final quarter.
The Jumbos started off the fourth with a pair of goals from Will Emsing and Jack Regnery, taking the margin to five goals. SLU put a quick stop to the run as Anderson scored his second of the game and 10th of the season.
Anderson made another full-field run and dished it off to Wells, bringing the Saints back within three with 5:34 to play in the fourth, but Tufts scored just 23 seconds later to put it back to a four-goal margin. Tufts finished with five goals in the fourth for the 14-8 final.

Saints' goaltender
Michael Marinello made 18 saves, while Conner Garzone finished with 11 for the Jumbos.
Tufts finished with a 32-19 advantage in shots on goal.
St. Lawrence closes their season at 14-6, while Tufts moves on to the NCAA Quarterfinals at 19-0.
