Amelia Berthold's lifetime-record performance in the 60-meter hurdles was the highlight of the day for the St. Lawrence University women's track and field team, as the group opened up the AARTFC indoor championships in Ithaca, N.Y.
Berthold ran the 60-meter hurdles in 9.76, beating her previous personal best of 9.80 to finish 26
th overall in the event to wrap up her indoor season.
In the distance medley relay, the Saints sent the team of
Quinn Sirgany,
Cameran Stone,
Paige Poirier and
Adriana Cecchetelli to the track, where they placed 18
th in the event. They put together a time of 13:13.06 in the event.
On day two of the event, the Saints had
Quinn Sirgany compete in the mile run at the championships, and she came up with a time of 5:33.62. This was good enough to place her 29th in the event.
Sirgany was the Saints' final competitor in the event.
