The St. Lawrence University women's track and field team competed in the Plattsburgh Sprint/Field meet Tuesday night in Plattsburgh, N.Y. The Saints had several high finishes across their events.
In the field, junior
Caroline Hines and sophomore Lyle Baldwin tied for second in the long jump when they both jumped 4.27 meters.
In the shot put, first-year
Lola Buckley took third via her best toss of 8.91 meters, while junior
Rosemary Fleischmann placed right behind her throwing 8.15 meters. Fleischmann found success once more in the weight throw when she placed second by throwing 12.17 meters.
Hines won the triple jump with her distance of 9.09 meters, and first-year
Eva Gaetano was right behind her by jumping 8.81 meters.
Elena Trempe placed fourth in the 400-meter when she ran a time of 1:10.50.
In the 1000-meter, first-year
Alivia Hopsicker had a fourth-place finish with her time of 3:43.30.
The Saints will compete again Friday, February 7, where they will take part in the Fastrack National Invitational in Staten Island, N.Y.
