The Saints trailed 48–33 at halftime after Oswego opened the game with a hot shooting stretch, hitting eight three-pointers in the opening period. St. Lawrence found its rhythm in the second half, outscoring the Lakers 50–44, but couldn't close the gap in the final minutes.
In addition to his 23 points, Anderson included four three-pointers, added three assists and two steals.

The Saints shot 46 percent from the field and 48 percent from beyond the arc, converting 27 of 36 free throws. St. Lawrence forced 16 turnovers and turned them into 18 points.
"Oswego has one of the elite head coaches in small college basketball," said St. Lawrence head coach
Chris Downs. "Coach Leone had them ready to play, and their team executed to perfection. They were sharp, connected, and played with great purpose from start to finish. We were outclassed tonight, but I give our guys a lot of credit for continuing to compete. That's something we can build on as we move forward."
St. Lawrence dropped to 1–1 on the season and will return to the North Country for its next contest against Clarkson, as they open league play on the road Saturday.
