Junior goaltender Mason Kucenski was named MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week, as announced by the ECAC league office on Monday morning.

After missing the first weekend of the season, the junior netminder came back to the net with a force posting a 1.54 goals against average and a .952 save percentage and going 1-1.

Kucenski stopped 59 shots over the weekend, including 37 in the Saints' win against Vermont in front of nearly 1500 Appleton Arena faithful.

Kucenski and the Skating Saints will be back in action next Thursday, October 16, when the team heads to South Bend, Indiana to take on Notre Dame in a 7:05 p.m. matchup.
