The Saints would take the win in game one 9-3, but the team would fall in game two as the St. Lawrence University baseball team split a twin bill with Clarkson on Saturday afternoon at Tom Fay Field.

Jackson Brinker,
Timothy Connor, and
Sean Desjardins all drove in two runs in the game one win, while
Joshua Polumbo earned the win on the hill in relief.
"I'm proud of the way we brought our energy knowing it was the last day of the season" said head coach
Kenny Collins "Our seniors have put in so much work this year and it was great to see them finish up strong. We are all hungry going into the off season to make the necessary adjustments and keep the momentum of the program moving in the right direction."
Game 1: St. Lawrence 9, Clarkson 3
Canton native,
David Zuhlsdorf took the hill in game one of the series and got four innings of work. The left-hander pitched the first four innings of the game giving up just two earned runs and striking out four.
After going down 2-0, the Saints bounced back in the bottom of the fifth hanging a crooked number. A hit by pitch, single, and a walk loaded the base paths for
Brett Federico, who brought a run home with a sacrifice fly.
Willie Landman then provided an RBI double followed by a three-run double from Desjardins to take the 5-2 lead.
The lead would increase to seven in the next inning as Connor smoked a home run over the right field fence to score himself and Brinker and take the 7-2 lead. Brinker would end up driving in two more of his own in the bottom of the seventh with a single to left center to make it 9-2.
Clarkson got one more run on the board but could not threaten the deficit.
Polumbo followed up Zuhlsdorf with three and a third of his own allowing just one earned in the win.
Brendan Karadenes pitched 0.2 innings giving up no hits, while
Michael Watson closed the door in the ninth with an inning of no-run work.

St. Lawrence got on the board in the bottom half of the fourth capitalizing on a Landman single to start the inning. A Desjardins double would score Landman and setup
Noah Bolduc, who smacked a sac fly to center field to make it 6-2.
Clarkson answered in the fifth with three runs and would score in the seventh and eighth to put the game out of reach.
The final run of the game came from the bat of
Sam Vincent in the bottom of the eighth when he scorched a single up the middle to score Landman.
Christian Mingione started the game for the Saints and was followed by a platoon consisting of
Teaghin Andre,
