Paddy Condon went an impressive 13-for-15 from the faceoff circle and picked up 11 ground balls, while
Ben Hutchinson tallied five goals and an assist and nine different Saints scored, as the ninth-ranked St. Lawrence University men's lacrosse team topped St. John Fisher 20-11 on Sunday afternoon in Canton, New York.
With the win, the Saints improved to 8-1 on the season, while St. John Fisher fell to 1-8.
"I thought that was a really good effort today against a team that is much better than their record indicates," said head coach
Mike Mahoney. "A fast start set the tone and we played with great energy and effort on both ends of the field."

Ben Hutchinson also caused one turnover and one ground ball, while
Judge Murphy added a hat trick and a helper and
Mark Mahoney recorded two goals and four assists.

Cam Croasdaile, and
Stew Hutchinson added two goals and an assist each, while
Chase Malatesta scored twice,
Brian Souza added one and one and
Ben Kniskern also scored once.

Alex Bechard picked up three ground balls and
Hayes Huwiler,
Bobby Bartlett and
Tripp Clark each caused two turnovers.

St. Lawrence got on the scoreboard quick, scoring the first goal just seven seconds in off the stick of Murphy and a second from Sipher just one minute and seven seconds into the first quarter. The Saints outscored the Cardinals 7-2 in the first 15 minutes.

The Saints opened the second quarter with a pair of goals from Murphy and Hutchinson and continued to outscore St. John Fisher 4-2, including a man-up tally from Sipher, to build a 11-4 lead at halftime.

The strong run continued in the third quarter with another seven goals from the Saints and despite five goals from the Cardinals in the fourth, St. Lawrence's strong lead sealed the win.
Samuel Miller led St. John Fisher with three goals and an assist, while Logan Grom finished with five ground balls and went 8-for-17 in the faceoff circle and six different Cardinals caused one turnover.
Michael Marinello recorded the win in goal for the Saints with eight saves, while Ben Hammond finished with six and Hunter Gentry made two for the Cardinals.
St. Lawrence outshot the Cardinals 46-37, including a 28-19 advantage in shots on goal. The Saints picked up 36 ground balls to St. John Fisher's 23 and finished 2-for-2 on man-up opportunities.
The Saints will travel to Plattsburgh for a Tuesday night matchup on April 4. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
