The St. Lawrence University men's basketball team led at halftime, but shot 22-percent in the second half and loss 72-50 to the Bombers of Ithaca on Friday night in Ben Light Gymnasium.
A tale of two halves, the Saints were able to slow the game down, and each team shot 27 field goals. St. Lawrence connected on 13 of them, compared to Ithaca's nine, but Ithaca hit six more field goals.

Carter Storey, who connected from deep with three and a half minutes to play in the first half to give the Saints their biggest lead with six, but Ithaca was able to cut it to a one-point game going into the break, with a buzzer beater layup for a score of 32-31.
Ithaca started with possession in the second half, and connected on a bucket after grabbing an offensive rebound to take the lead, and never trailed again.
Gavin Macaulay, who started the second half on the bench, came in and scored eight second half points including a shot from deep to cut the lead to five, but the Bombers were able to control the tempo in the second half, speed up the game, and shoot more shots. Ithaca attempted 37 shots in the half, and connected on over 43-percent of them.
Logan Wendell hit a transition three for the Bombers to stretch the lead to 23 points with six and a half minutes left, the largest difference of the night, and both coaches pulled their starters.
Macaulay scored 12 points while dealing with foul trouble to lead the Saints, while
Aidan Macaulay and
Trent Adamson each scored eight. Syroka finished with five assists and two steals. His 26 steals this season leads the league.
Wendell finished with 14, and his teammate Zach Warech led all scorers with 15-points, all from beyond the arc.
Ithaca capitalized by scoring 26 of their points off St. Lawrence's 20 turnovers. The Saints forced the Bombers to turn the ball over 16 times, which resulted in nine points for the Scarlet and Brown.
The loss ended the Saints' two game win streak, as they fall to 7-5 and 3-3 in the Liberty League, while Ithaca improved to 9-4 and 5-1. The Saints travel to Troy, N.Y. to face RPI on Saturday at 4 p.m.
