Skidmore doubled their lead just shy of the 10-minute mark in the final quarter.
Jenny L'Hommedieu had two shots on goal in the final three minutes, and
Maggie Green and
Suzanne L'Hommedieu also forced the keeper to come up with saves in the waning minutes, but Skidmore's Victoria Bodnar was able to clear her lines and preserve the clean sheet.
Skidmore ended with a 17-11 advantage in shots, and 11-7 in penalty corners. Green had three shots on goal, and
Jenny L'Hommedieu finished with two.
"We played a good first half," said head coach
Fran Grembowicz. "We didn't make the adjustments we needed to generate more offense."
