"It took us awhile to get going tonight, but once we did we were able to generate a lot of chances and real good opportunities around the net," said St. Lawrence head coach
Chris Wells '92. "We had some really hard working goals and both Gosling and Gout were rewarded for it. It's going to be a real good test tomorrow at Yale as it's always a great up and down game with them."
Gosling's first career goal gave the Saints a 1-0 lead late in the first period. She received a feed from
Shailynn Snow deep in the Saints' own zone and skated 160 feet through defenders before beating Brown goaltender Calla Isaac with a wrist shot from the left circle high on the short side.

Brown almost tied the game just 15 seconds later, as Mel Anderson hit the post and Abby Nearis swiped at the loose puck in the crease with a wide open net, but didn't connect.
Gosling scored her second goal of the game just as a power play expired halfway through the second period.
Kayla Vespa sent a pass into the slot from behind the net, and Gosling went down on one knee with a one-timer low to the right side.
Jacquie Diffley also assisted on the play.
Later in the second, St. Lawrence killed off a two-minute 5-on-3 power play and actually had the best scoring chance during the stretch, with Snow feeding Gosling at the right post an a 2-on-1 rush, but Gosling was unable to get a shot off as a Brown defender checked her stick.
Gout gave the Saints a 3-0 lead with a power play goal late in the second period.
Amanda Butterfield started the play with a pass to
Kalie Grant, who sent the puck into the slot from the left half boards. Gout redirected the puck just inside the right post for her second goal of the season.
