Hobart's Kyle Walsh scored in the 99th minute, giving the Statesmen the lead, and the 1-0 win over the St. Lawrence University men's soccer team in the Liberty League regular-season finale on Saturday afternoon in Geneva, New York.
Walsh scored on the pass from August Martini to secure the win and a spot in the playoffs for Hobart.
Raphael Zoccolaro and
Parker Hotchkiss each tallied a shot on goal for the Saints.
Saints' goalkeeper
Ben Woelfinger and Hobart's Brian Salazar both recorded two saves in goal.
Hobart posted a 12-9 advantage in shots and led 3-2 in shots on goal.
St. Lawrence fell to 6-8-1 on the season and 3-5-1 in conference play, while Hobart improved to 13-4-1 and 6-2-1.
The Saints finished the season ranked seventh in the Liberty League standings.
