Saints Power to 4-0 Win Over Skidmore

Four members of the St. Lawrence University women's soccer team scored to propel the Saints to a 4-0 win over Skidmore in Liberty League action on Saturday afternoon in Saratoga Springs, New York.

Julia Mulhern got the ball rolling with her seventh goal of the season, giving the Saints a 1-0 lead in the 23rd minute of play. Morgan Ryan assisted on the play.

Hannah Arment scored her first goal of the year on a penalty-kick to lift the Saints lead to 2-0 at 36:37.

Katie Clemmer and Isabel Silvia both recorded unassisted goals increasing the Saints lead to 4-0.

"We played with a smile on our face and sometimes that makes all the difference," said head coach Sinead McSharry. "We moved the ball well and took chances when we could and are thankful to come away with the win."

Saints' goalkeeper Samantha Allen recorded the shutout with two saves, while Vivian Montgomery-Walsh made four saves and Ava Keller recorded seven saves for Skidmore.

The Scarlet and Brown outshot the Thoroughbreds 27-5 and recorded a 15-2 advantage in shots on goal. The Saints took eight corner kicks to Skidmore's one.

The Saints improved to 10-3-0 overall and 4-2-0 in conference play, while Skidmore fell to 6-6-2 and 1-6-0.

St. Lawrence will host Route-11 rival Clarkson on Tuesday, October 29 at 3 p.m.
