Kalie Grant and
Kristen Guerriero were named the ECAC Hockey Women's Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively, by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Grant led the Saints to a pair of ECAC Hockey victories with two multi-point games, scoring a goal and adding an assist in a 3-1 win over Yale and adding two helpers in a 4-1 win over Brown. Grant now has three consecutive multipoint games and ranks third on the team with 10 points on three goals and seven assists.
Guerriero scored her first career game in the win over Brown, knocking in the game-winner in the second period just one minute, 32 seconds after Brown had tied the game, 1-1. The rookie blueliner also led the team with five blocked shots on the weekend.
The Saints, now 8-5-1 overall, are the only team in ECAC Hockey with an unblemished conference record at 4-0-0. Now ranked eighth in the USCHO.com national poll, the team will face second-ranked Minnesota in the first round of the Windjammer Classic at the University of Vermont on Friday at 4 p.m. The winner will play either Vermont or Syracuse in the championship game at 7 p.m. on Saturday; the consolation game will be held at 4 p.m.
