Mt. Van Hoevenberg

The St. Lawrence men's and women's Nordic skiing teams host home carnivals on the Olympic cross country ski trails of Mt. Van Hoevenberg, which offer world-class grooming on 50 kilometers of rolling Adirondack terrain. Mt. Van Hoevenberg offers the best cross country trails in Lake Placid, the Adirondacks and quite possibly the entire Northeast.

In addition to racing on hallowed Olympic grounds, the Nordic teams utilize many different roads and trail systems in the fall for dryland training and travel 20 miles south of campus to Higley Flow State Park once the snow falls in the winter, where the teams train on 25 kilometers of groomed trails. The team also trains at Gatineau Park north of Ottawa, roughly an hour and 45 minutes away.
