In the past three seasons, the Saints have won 23 games which ranks second in school history behind the 24 wins from 1976-78. The 16 victory total in the past two seasons is tied for the best in school history. The 2015 team earned national and regional rankings throughout the season ranking as high as #25 in the national poll and #3 in the regional poll. The Saints were picked as the No. 16 team in the country according to the Lindy’s Magazine preseason poll.

St. Lawrence ranked in the top ten in the country in passes intercepted (5th), average punt return yards (8th), tackles for loss (6th) and turnovers gained (9th). The team also earned the top Liberty League ranking in 12 team categories and 16 different individual categories.

Raymond and his staff earned the 2015 Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year award for the second time in six seasons (2010) and the Saints garnered nine All-Liberty League First-Team awards in addition to Mike Lefflbine earning co-Offensive Player of the Year for the second straight season and James Holley-Grisham taking home the Special Teams Player of the Year award.

Raymond had 66 players selected as All-Liberty League honorees and 97 players named to the Liberty League All-Academic squad in his six seasons at the helm.

In his first season with the Scarlet and Brown, Raymond guided St. Lawrence to the program's first Liberty League Championship thanks to a 5-1 record in conference.  With a win over WPI in the 2010 season finale, the Saints punched their ticket to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1982.  Raymond and his staff were named the Liberty League's Coaching Staff of the Year for their efforts.

The Saints returned to the NCAA Playoffs in 2015 after posting a 6-1 Liberty League mark winning the regular season title with a tie breaker over RPI. Against Mount Union in the NCAA Playoffs, the Saints scored nearly as many points against the Raiders (23) as the 10 regular season opponents scored combined (34).

Raymond, who earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Buffalo in 1993, worked for three years at St. Lawrence as a graduate assistant coach with the football team. In his prior tenure in Canton, NY, Raymond coached linebackers, defensive ends and wide receivers while building a solid recruiting foundation throughout the northeast as Recruiting Coordinator for St. Lawrence.

During his seven-year stint as the defensive coordinator at Ithaca College, the Bombers went 59-19 (.756) and advanced to three NCAA Tournaments. Raymond came to St. Lawrence after working with the U.S. Secret Service since May of 2007. He also has coaching roots at Syracuse University, where he was a graduate assistant for two years earning a graduate degree in exercise physiology.

Raymond was a three-year varsity letterman for the University of Buffalo's football squad from 1990-1992. At Ithaca College, he was a teacher in the Health Sciences and Human Performance department.
