St. Lawrence University Athletics

Kathleen Merchant won the javelin, was second in the shot put and finished eighth in the discus to score 19 points to lead the St. Lawrence University women's outdoor track and field team at the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference Championships last week. She posted a mark of 41.24 meters in the javelin, improved her PR in the shot put by 12 centimeters with a throw of 12.92 meters, and tossed the discus 35.51 meters. Merchant enters this week's NCAA Division III Championships as the top seed in the javelin.
