Steph Nicols placed fifth in the women's 15-kilometer skate at UNH last weekend. 

"This was a really exciting race as she was back and forth throughout with the two from UNH. Going into the final 4K she was in between by my splits but only seconds separating. I think Steph needs to bring her downhill skills up to her increased fitness and ability throughout the rest of the course as she seems to have dropped behind in the final 2K which was primarily downhill.  I am sure she will get there and be ready for NCAAs." - Head Nordic Coach Ethan Townsend '98
