Steph Nicols opened the EISA carnival season with a career-best second-place finish in the women's 5-kilometer skate at UNH this past week. She also posted another second-place result in the women's 10-kilometer skate on Friday.

"Steph has obviously made a big jump and I think is becoming a contender for NCAA berth even in a normal year with everyone competing." - Head Nordic Skiing Coach Ethan Townsend.
