Mannella combined to make 71 saves and earned both his first career win and first career shutout to help the Saints win the Catamount Cup at the University of Vermont last weekend. He was also named the tournament's most valuable player. The Saints edged Vermont, 3-2, on Friday night, before shutting out UMass Lowell, 3-0, on Saturday to win the tournament.
