Gardner was named the Rookie of the Meet at the Liberty League Outdoor Track & Field Championships after winning the 100 and finishing fourth in the 200. She ran a season-best time of 12.96 seconds in the preliminary round before winning the final in 13.03. She finished the 200 in 27.22. Gardner was also the league Rookie of the Meet and Rookie of the Year during the indoor season.
