2019-20 Season

Alftberg missed the first half of his junior season while recovering from an injury and returned to the lineup on December 28 at Dartmouth’s Ledyard Classic against UConn…In 18 games played, he finished with four assists on the year.

2018-19 Season

After serving a utility role in his rookie season, playing both forward and defense, Alftberg found a home on the St. Lawrence blue line in his sophomore year…He finished with a career-high 10 assists and scored the team’s first goal of the season on Oct. 12 at Maine to finish with 11 points…He also finished with 44 blocked shots and was named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team.

2017-18 Season

Although he came in as a defenseman, Alftberg emerged as a utility player for the Saints, splitting time between defense and forward when the team faced a barrage of injuries and a depleted lineup...He finished third among Saints' rookies in scoring with three goals and six assists for nine points, recording his first collegiate point in his first game against Michigan on October 6...He scored his first goal at Vermont on December 29 to help the Saints to a 3-2 win...He was also named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team.

Prior to St. Lawrence

Alftberg split time between the Tri-City Storm and Fargo Force in the USHL in 2016-17, playing 29 games and putting up 15 points on four goals and 11 assists with Tri-City before being traded to Fargo...In 27 regular season games with the Force he tallied eight points and also added three assists in three playoff games.
