Biography
2017: Dietsch was tabbed a preseason All-American by Inside Lacrosse Magazine, helped captain the team and appeared in 15 games for the Saints during his senior year… He recorded seven goals and five assists for 12 points… He also picked up 31 ground balls, caused 15 turnovers and wet 13-for-21 in the faceoff circle…He recorded a season-high two goals in the Saints win over Bard… He earned Liberty League All-Academic and First Team honors… He was also selected to play in the DIII USILA/Nike North-South Game and was awarded the Outstanding Male Senior Scholar Athlete at the Senior Student-Athlete Banquet… He also earned USILA/Nike All-America Third Team and IMLCA NCAA DIII All-East Region First Team honors.
2016: Dietsch played in all 21 games and was the primary faceoff specialist for the Saints … He earned First Team All Liberty League honors and was an honorable mention selection as a short-stick midfielder … He was a Second Team selection on the ECAC Metro/Upstate NY All-Star team … He won nearly 60 percent of his face offs winning 163 of 287 attempts and led the Saints with 110 ground balls … He finished the season with 18 points on four goals and 14 assists … He recorded three points with a goal and two assists in the win over Skidmore and had a season-best 12 ground balls in the NCAA Tournament win over Amherst … He was a member of the Liberty League All-Academic squad for football and lacrosse.
2015: Dietsch appeared in all 17 games for the Saints as a midfielder and faceoff specialist … Earned All-Liberty League honors as a Second-Team selection … He scored one goal and led the team with 60 groundballs … He won more than 50% (128-for-254 face-offs) and was fourth on the squad with 18 caused turnovers … His goal came against Skidmore and he had a season-best nine groundballs in the win over Potsdam … He registered a season-high four caused turnovers against Skidmore … Also started for the Saints football team as a linebacker earning First-Team All-Liberty League honors with a team-leading 73 tackles … Earned Liberty League All-Academic honors for both football and lacrosse.
2014: Dietsch played in all 14 games in his first year with the Saints and earned a start in the first game of the season against Babson. He scored one goal on the season coming in the Geneseo game as he scored early in the second half to give St. Lawrence a 6-1 lead.
Prior to St. Lawrence
Dietsch captained both the lacrosse and football lacrosse teams while earning honor roll status all four years of high school. He earned All-Metro honors at midfield and was a two-time All-Western New York linebacker.
