Biography

2015-16: Scored a power play goal against Niagara and picked up his first assist of the season against RIT. Scored his second career game-winner against Miami. Snapped a five game scoreless streak with a pair of assists against Colgate including a helper on the game-winner. Scored his third of the year against Vermont and had the lone Saint goal in the game at Clarkson. Had a goal and two assists in the win over Brown. Assisted on the overtime game winner against Cornell. Scored his second game winner of the year as part of a two goal night at RPI. Scored the game-winner shorthanded against Princeton. Scored his ninth of the year at Yale and had two assists in the home win over Dartmouth..

2014-15: Tommy had a big junior season for the Saints and helped them to their second place finish with his speed and special teams play. He  was the third leading scorer for the Saints with nine goals and 14 assists for 23 points and had a shorthanded goal and a game winner. He also assisted on four game winning goals in addition to scoring the deciding goal at Brown. He had a two goal night in the 7-1 home win over Union and had a three point night with a goal and two assists in the home win over Harvard.

2013-14: Tommy sat out the 2013-14 season and will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

2012-13: Tommy scored five goals and assisted on five others in his sophomore season. He had key goals in a 3-3 tie with Colgate and a 4-2 win over Union and scored a goal in the quarterfinal series at Yale.

2011-12: Tommy was a regular at center for the Saints in his rookie season and scored three goals. His first collegiate goal came at Michigan and his first ECAC goal was part of a three-goal Saint rally at Brown. He also scored his first playoff goal in game one of the Dartmouth series.

Another product of  the EJHL Champion New Hampshire Monarchs, Tommy Thompson had 18 goals and 22 assists for 40 points in 43 games in junior hockey a year ago. He scored three power play goals, two shorthanded and three game winners as the Monarchs went 38-4-2 to win the Northern Division and went on to win the playoff championship. He was Rookie of the Year in the AJHL in 2010. Tommy also played lacrosse for Londonderry High School and plans to major in economics at St. Lawrence.
