Prior to St. Lawrence
Holbrook was a four-year letter winner at Duxbury and helped lead his team to MIAA Division II South Championships twice and a Patriot League Championships once. He was the Patriot League MVP as a senior, was a three-time league All-Star, earned the Patriot League's All-Scholastic Award and won the John J. Todd Memorial Award, given to a student-athlete who overcomes adversity through hard work to thrive in the athletic arena. Also a member of the soccer team at Duxbury, Holbrook excelled in the classroom as an honor roll student, earning membership in the National Honor Society.
