2016-17: Sweetman finished his senior season with five goals and nine assists for 14 points, with two power play goals and two game winners…He led the Saints with 79 blocked shots, good for second among ECAC Hockey defensemen and finished at a +10…He was named the ECAC Hockey Media Associations Best Defensive Defenseman.

2015-16: Second team All-ECAC for the second straight year...He scored seven points in a six game stretch starting with the Penn State series...He snapped a streak of 11 games without a point with two assists against Yale in Canton...His blocked shot in the Colgate game sent Sean McGovern on his way to a breakaway empty netter...Assisted on the first goal in game two of the Clarkson quarterfinal series...Led team in blocked shots with 82 and second in plus-minus at plus-13

2014-15: Eric earned second team All-ECAC honors after an outstanding season both defensively and offensively for the Saints...He led the team in plus/minus at plus-21 and scored five goals with 15 assists for 20 points in 37 games...He had a power play goal and scored the game winner in a 5-4 win at Miami...He had a three assist night in the home win over Brown and had two goals at RPI.

2013-14: Eric had a strong rookie season for the Saints scoring three goals and assisting on 12 for 15 points in 38 games...He scored his first collegiate point in game two of the season against Maine and netted his first collegiate goal at Ferris State in game four...He scored goals in both playoff wins over Brown including the overtime game winner in game one.

Prior to St. Lawrence
Sweetman scored seven goals and had 11 assists for 18 points from the blue line in 63 games for the Youngstown Phantoms... He was plus-three for the season and had five special teams goals, three on the power play and two shorthanded...In two seasons at Youngstown he scored 11 goals and had 19 assists in 123 games...He attended Ursuline High School and played lacrosse, helping his team to a state championship...He is the son of Mike and Linda Sweetman.
