Prior to St. Lawrence

Cote scored 23 goals and added 32 assists for 55 points in three seasons for the Oakville Hornets in the PWHL, then capped her junior career with 22 goals and 15 assists in 40 games for the Mississauga Chiefs in 2018-19. She also helped Team Canada claim a gold medal at the IIHF U18 Women's World Championships in 2019, scoring one goal in five games in the tournament.

Cote was the captain of the varsity hockey team at Nelson High School and was a four-year honor roll student.
