Murphy played soccer at Boston Latin School, where she was a standout defensive midfielder… She served as team captain and was named a DCL All-Star for her performance on the field… Academically, Murphy was inducted into the National Honor Society and earned Approbation with Distinction… She also played club soccer for New England Surf, helping her team win the DPL National Championship in 2022 and reach the national finals again in 2023.
