Prior to St. Lawrence

Mejia Lopez played soccer at Fox Lane High School in New York, where he was a standout left back and left wing-back… He captained the team in his senior year and earned All-League, All-Section, and Co-League MVP honors… He was also awarded the Joshua Martinez Scholarship for his leadership and impact… Academically, Mejia Lopez was a High Honor Roll student throughout high school, a member of the National Honor Society, and received the Alfred University Outside of Ordinary Scholar Award and the Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish… He played club soccer with FC Westchester, helping the team qualify for the MLS Next U19 Playoffs… Off the field, he worked as a camp counselor and volunteered over 400 hours through the Y2Y Club at St. Francis of Assisi, supporting food banks, homeless outreach, and animal welfare.
