2020 Season

Matel competed in three carnivals during his senior season as a Saint. His best finish was 28th in the Giant Slalom at the Harvard Carnival opener.

2019 Season

Matel competed in four carnivals during his Junior season and second season as a Saint. His best finish was a 45th place finish at the Dartmouth Carnival in the Giant Slalom.

2018 Season

Matel, a sophomore transfer, raced in five carnivals during his first season with the Saints, posting a season-best 13th place in the giant slalom at the UVM Winter Carnival… He also posted two other EISA top-30 finishes throughout the season, including 22nd in the giant slalom at the Williams Carnival and 28th in the slalom at Middlebury Carnival / NCAA Regionals.

Prior to St. Lawrence

Matel, a transfer from Colby College, competed in the St. Lawrence, UNH, Dartmouth and Bates Carnivals last season, earning a EISA top-30 finish at Bates... The North Pomfret, Vermont native played soccer and skied at Burke Mountain Academy.
