Connor Lambert won the decathlon at the Cortland Classic over the weekend. Lambert posted a total score of 5,439 points, leapfrogging over two competitors in the final five events, to win the multi-event title in a field of 11 athletes. He performed well across all the events, finishing among the top four competitors in seven of the 10 events. He scored 734 points in the 400, finishing in 51.79 on Friday, then clinched the title with a 4:58.93 in the 1,500 to score 566 points. The performance earned Lambert a spot at the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference Championships.
