Thomas Caulfield became first SLU runner to break a non-hurdling outdoor record since Tim McCrossen in 1987 and the first distance runner since 1984 when he ran 14:23.21 in the 5000 at the Bucknell Bison Invitational. His time broke the record set by Marc Gosselin in 1984 and is the ninth best in Division III this season.
