James led the Saints to their sixth consecutive victory with a 38-21 victory over Springfield. He had seven tackles including five solo and two tackles on huge fourth down plays that ended drives for Springfield. He also forced a fumble and picked off a pass (one of only six passes on the day for Springfield). His biggest play came late in the second quarter when he returned a punt 52 yards setting up a St. Lawrence TD to end the half and give the Saints a 24-14 lead going into halftime.
