Jackson Schierbeek earned Liberty League weekly honors for their efforts in helping the No. 5 St. Lawrence men's soccer remain unbeaten after going 2-0 last weekend.
Dede was named the league's offensive performer of the week, while Schierbeek earned rookie of the week honors.
Dede scored the game-winning goal in the 84
th minute of Saturday's 2-1 come-from-behind victory to help the No. 5 Saints past their first nationally-ranked test of the season in No. 22 Cortland. It was the New York, N.Y. native's second goal in as many games.
Schierbeek played a major role in Friday's win for St. Lawrence, making six saves – including one off a corner kick in the final minute – en route to his first career shutout with a 1-0 victory over Oswego.
The Saints (6-0-0) are currently one of 16 teams in Division III with a 1.000 winning percentage, as is Plattsburgh whom the Saints face in a non-conference midweek matchup on Tuesday evening in Plattsburgh (7-0-0) at 7 p.m.
