Senior defenseman
Amanda Boulier was named second team All-ECAC Hockey, as announced by Commissioner Steve Hagwell on Friday night at the league's annual awards banquet in Hamden, Conn. on the Quinnipiac campus.
Boulier, who broke the St. Lawrence women's hockey program records for both goals and points in the team's quarterfinal series win over Princeton last weekend, has earned All-League honors in each of her four seasons wearing the Scarlet and Brown.
An All-Rookie selection in 2011-12, a first team honoree in 2012-13 and a third team selection a season ago, the Watertown, Conn. native is second among ECAC defenseman in overall scoring this season with 10 goals and 19 assists for 29 points and is leading conference blueliners in shots (125) heading into the Saints semifinal contest on Saturday afternoon. She is also second on the team in scoring this season.
ECAC Hockey's major women's hockey awards were split between Quinnipiac and Princeton this season, with each team taking three. Quinnipiac's T.T. Cianfarano earned both the Best Forward and Player of the Year Awards, while goaltender Sydney Rossman was named Goaltender of the Year. Princeton's Karlie Lund was named the league's Rookie of the Year, Kelsey Koelzer took home Defenseman of the Year and Head Coach Jeff Kampersal was named the Coach of the Year.
In the first of Saturday's two semifinal matchups the Saints will play the host Bobcats at 1:00 p.m., while Clarkson and Colgate square off in the second game at 4:00 p.m. The entire ECAC Hockey women's championship weekend will be broadcast on ESPN 3 and the Championship will also be carried by TSN GO in Canada.Â
