May 6: Teams from Hockey East, Atlantic Hockey, the Big Ten and the National Collegiate Hockey Conference comprise the non-league portion of St. Lawrence University's 2015-16 men's ice hockey schedule.

The Saints will play teams from all four of those leagues in the month of October before opening ECAC play to start November. Coming off a 20-14-3 season which included a 14-7-1 mark in the ECAC and a second place finish, the Saints will face some stern tests early in the year.

They open the season with a home exhibition game against Carleton University on Oct. 3 and host Atlantic Hockey's Niagara and RIT on Oct. 9-10. They then play at New Hampshire and Merrimack on Nov. 16-17 for the first of  four games against Hockey East teams, host NCHC 2015 runner-up Miami Oct. 23-24 and conclude the month of October with their first-ever visit to Penn State and their first games against a Big Ten Hockey League team since that league was organized to start last season.

SLU will open November with Union and Rensselaer at Appleton Arena on Nov. 6-7 and will host Clarkson in the first of two meetings between the North Country rivals on Nov. 13. They play at Princeton and Quinnipiac on Nov. 20-21 before having Thanksgiving weekend off.

A four-game December slate includes league games at Cornell and Colgate on Dec. 4-5 and a home and away series with Vermont, playing the Catamounts in Burlington on Dec. 11 and in Canton on Dec. 12.

A two-game home set with Northeastern opens January play and concludes the non-league portion of the schedule and the Potsdam rematch with Clarkson marks the resumption of ECAC play on Jan. 12. The Saints are at Harvard and Dartmouth Jan. 15-16 and host Brown and Yale on Jan. 22-23 with the Canton rematches with Colgate and Cornell concluding the month Jan. 29-30.

The February home stretch starts at RPI and Union on Feb. 5-6 with Quinnipiac and Princeton at Appleton on Feb. 12-13, the final road trip of the regular season at Yale and Brown on Feb. 19-20 and the regular season concludes with Dartmouth and Harvard at Appleton on Feb. 26-27.
